Not gonna change to a MacBook, cause just read many negative reviews about it. Like getting your wrist sliced by the sharp edges. And also just repaired my Acer laptop last week, and now everything is going ok, unless I slam it again for crashing.

Havent been updating for the past week cuz my stupid Acer died again, and had to bring it to jurong to wake it up. So anyway, last thursday had a field trip to Ann Siang Hill to take pictures of old buildings, and what a bad idea, the sun was freakin hot and my shirt was wet. Then after that went to Vivo to watch Death Race. $8.50 for a ticket, which to me is damn ex, cuz normally I watch for free.

Anyway nice show though. But nearly went deaf cuz the sound was blasting from all directions.

Last assigment coming up, Furniture Design. I designed a bed within a hollow sphere, drew 3 sketches and a typed a 300 word report on my design. Will post the pics soon.

Critique's over, and with a sense of dread. Today's critique wasn't as lenient as term 1's, but also it wasn't so strict. Had to present my model in front of 6 tutors, 3 I don't know their names. One of them kao pei alot. Obviously I did not listen to him. Then Elaine said that mine could be improved by adding more spaces inside. She didn't shoot me cuz my model was inspired by her, so by criticizing me, she would be shooting herself. Then Edmund said the same thing my manager said to me: 'You are very smart, but just don't give a damn.' Yong Sheng said that it was a good thing I managed to have a complete set of submission, as I was lagging behind most of my friends. The rest of the tutors, just tiam tiam.

Ai yo, things don look good. Shit.

And also, I ate Macs for lunch today, and for some unknown reason, after awhile, my 'down there' started to hurt.

Yay!!! Submission is finally over, and no half done works or whatsoever, now is just pure bliss. But wait, still got the 'Furniture Design Award' Contest which all of us are to take part in. Sketch your own design of your own furniture on a A3 paper. Now when I look at a A3 paper, I feel that it is too small for anything to be drawn on, cuz I have been using A1 paper all this while. Which is like uh 3 X bigger?

But anyway, my critique session is next Monday, and dammit, I think this time round the tutors are really gonna bitch and talk crap about my works.   ..... they'd better not insult my works to an extent that I start to tear and cry, if not I'm just gonna strip naked, and make all of them cry.

Aww, hope that I don't get a 'D' grade. A 'C' grade will be more than enough for me.  :)

I hate the stupid show '12 lotus', cuz it made me lose $. Took over Irene's counter at ticketing for a while, and soon after all the ah ma and auntie started swarming in and screeching in highly pitched voices about where to sit and what time to watch the show. Its like their 1st time at the movies in a thousand years and they're so damn excited.

They they closed in to my counter and started saying that they wanted 10 tix for the 4.40pm show, all at concession price. So I checked all 10 of their freakin ICs, and some did not bring, so they had to write down their names themselves, and that took FOREVER! Write in the wrong column, wrote their names in the IC section, IC in the date...

So I gave up and just scribbled down some names (anyhow write) and IC no. E.G "Koi Ah Kim, IC NO: S10382342G. " So freakin troublesome!

Then just after I started to print the tix, they told me they wanted to change the timing to the 2.20pm show. WTH. So had to do a refund and reprint the damn tix.

So I reprinted the tix. Then when the show started, they complained that I gave to high up the seats, and they had trouble climbing up. And they were the one who told me that they wanted back seats, which was right at the back.

BUT THE THING THAT PISSED ME OFF THE MOST WAS THAT THEY SAID I WAS A NEWBIE AND WAS DOING THINGS VERY SLOWLY. Really felt like breaking all their bones, slapping their faces until their fake teeth breaks, then I'll force it down their thousand year old throat. Then I'll stack their bodies onto a trolly, and push it down from the top of the building, down onto the MRT tracks.

Then I'll smile and wave goodbye to them while I watch the train rush over them.  :)

Went to school just for 2 hours, cuz I was wearing sandals and so I'm not allowed into the workshop. Removed some parts of my model, no thanks to Elaine, (hope she's not reading this) and now it looks empty. Gonna fill it with more random pieces of wood this wednesday. :(

Then later after school went to Funan with Timothy to get his new camera, a quite decent (ugly) looking Samsung Camera. Think he bought it for $320. Cheep? Dunno.

Wanted to watch movie after that, but decided to watch it next week, with the rest of our friends after they have completed their model and tiles. And still got 3 more pairs of tix, so can admit 6 people altogether. :)

Tomorrow, no lesson, as we have already completed Theory Of Design 1 and Int. Tech 1. So gonna work tomorrow, till 6. Then maybe after that watch movie? Same goes for this thursday.

Friday is the deadline for the model and the tiles, at 10am. Hopefully will be able to complete everything by this wednesday. Gonna stay back in studio till 10pm. :(

Terminator Salvation Opening Date in SG: 29th May 2009.
Can't wait!

Saturday, August 9, 2008

Aww, didn't get to see the fireworks today. It's a public holiday but went to work at 930 which sucks alot. Actually didn't want to work, but since there is double pay, why not? Trying to find a higher paying job and when I do, gonna quit my current job. The current salary I'm receiving is hardly enough, maybe am left with a few bucks at the end of the month, no thanks to all the materials bought for Design Studio.

If there's any good job recommendations please inform me please...

And too bad, Monday is supposed to be a school holiday cause today is a public holiday and it's a weekend, but for poly Monday is still a normal school day. Well not for me though, this whole coming week is used to prepare for our submission of our model this friday and tiles, which I finished last week, so just gonna go to school and paint my tiles. Tuesday and Thursday no school, so gonna work, earn more $ to buy my new laptop. This current one is screwed.

Wonder if I should get the MacBook 2.4GHz which cost around $2100, or wait for next year's poly roadshow and get the MacBook Pro which cost $2588, student price? Not gonna trust Acer anymore, screwing my works up, and my life. So I'm gonna screw it back by giving it to my sister who is computer illiterate. HAHA. Die sucker!

Took some pics of my model with a human figure inside today, was supposed to take and print about 10 shots, but was camera itchy today, so took about 20+. Here's some of the pics I took today.

And today was my presentation day, which I wasn't really looking forward to. And I tend to puke whenever I get nervous, so didn't eat lunch today, instead I ate at around 10+. But the presentation wasn't that bad. The bad thing was that my zipper was down when I was presenting, and I didn't noticed it. And I hope nobody noticed it. But after the presentation back at the studio where I was taking the picture, Keng Boon gestured to me to pull something up. And I was like 'huh?' After a few repeated times I finally got it and wth, my zipper was halfway down. Gd thing I was wearing a dark coloured underwear today, so it was hardly visible.

Sheesh!

Changed my blog skin! And now having a headache from editing the HTML, which I dont really know about. Anyway today I went to school at 10, even though there was no lessons, but I had to print out my AutoCAD drawings, which was supposed to be handed in at the Design Office at 2pm, so spent 2 hours, editing my drawings, and finally after 2 long hours, all 4 drawings were printed and ready to be submitted.

Since it was still early, I went to the studio 1st, wanted to bring my model to the workshop but I forgot I was wearing slippers, so I cant go, stayed in the studio and watch Keith make his model...

Then had lunch at Macs with Keith, Sky, Peng Wei and Caryn, didn't want to eat Macs, but cant be bothered to queue at the other stalls, and Macs had the shortest queue, so what the heck, ate Macs in the end.

Later back in the studio, Elaine saw my model and she told me that my model wasn't acceptable as it was too much like a room. And she also asked me whethere are the different parts communicating with each other. ??? Catch no ball. She was speaking in design language and I didn't get what she was trying to say, so I replied with : "ya, ok, ya i know, uh ya ok, can, orh ok..." Nearly fell asleep when she was talking about my model as I was so damn tired, slept late last night doing my OC slides. And shit, my OC presentation is tomorrow. Need to wear formal clothing.

Shucks.

Tuesday, August 5, 2008

Yesterday was the 1st day where I stayed back till 10pm in school just to finish my model. Wanted to leave at 7+ but then I ran out of the Krazy Glue, and had to use UHU glue, which took a longer time to harden. And so stayed till 10 and did my flatland summary also.

Then today had a 2 hr lunch break, so went down to Orchard to Art Friend to get my materials, spent $20+ on just wood and a portfolio. Was in a hurry as afraid to be late for class, and so forgot to buy the Krazy Glue. So went down again after school to get 2 tubes which cost me $6. ...

Went to popular after that to buy a black journal for my character development module, which is quite cool, cause I used white ink on black paper. Something for a change.

My timber frame.

Adding stairs to it.

Hole in the wall... stairs abit crooked...

Tesselated rooft.

Some spiral stairs I made but had no idea where to place them.

In the end, created a messy wall

And placed the stairs behind the wall.

Changed my Oral Com presentation's topic at the last minute. From global warming to climate change, to evolution of man, and finally to my present topic, evolution of hand held game consoles. Got the idea from Timothy. Um, 1st few topics were rather boring and mundane, and there's plenty to research about. Esp the evolution of man. What the heck was I thinking?

Ah, but evolution of hand held game consoles is much easier. And more fun to present to also.

Arg, presentation's next week!
